Who are the Two Witnesses in Revelation 11?

Revelation 11:3-4

3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”

4 “These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”

A candlestick is a church.

Revelation 1:20

20 “The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”

The two candlesticks represent two churches. A candlestick is a church, so the Two Witnesses are the leaders of the two end time churches.

Which churches are the two end time churches?

One of the two witnesses will be from the Philadelphia Church. In Revelation 3:10, Jesus tells the Philadelphia Church, “….I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

This temptation is the tribulation and Jesus returns right after the tribulation.

Jesus states to the Philadelphia Church in Revelation 3:7-8, that He has the ‘Key of David’ and He will open a door for the Church to do His work.

The Philadelphia Church of God, led by Mr. Armstrong (The Worldwide Church of God at that time), taught the ‘Key of David.’ The Philadelphia Church of God now under the leadership of Mr. Gerald Flurry continues to teach ‘The Key of David.’

This Philadelphia Church will be in a place of safety during the hour of temptation.

The other witness will be from the Laodicean Church.

This church will also be here when Jesus returns. This church is the Worldwide Church of God under the leadership of Mr. Joseph Tkach, Jr.

This church is lukewarm (trying to please both God and mankind) and the Lord will not accept this. He will spue (spew) this church out of His mouth into the tribulation.

The Two Witnesses are the leaders of the two end time churches which will be here when Jesus returns. These two churches are the Philadelphia Church of God and the Worldwide Church of God (the Laodicean Church) now called Grace Communion International.

The two olive trees are the two anointed ones in Zechariah 4:11 and 14.

Zechariah 4:11: “Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?”

Zechariah 4:14: “Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

The two witnesses are the two anointed ones.

For three and one half years the Church will be in a place of safety with the Two Witnesses prophesying during this time. Anyone who will not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Revelation 13:15: “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

These Two Anointed Ones will be standing before the God of the earth.

A representative from the Philadelphia Church and a representative from the Laodicean Church will be God’s two anointed witnesses standing alone before the God of the earth.

Who is the Breaker

The Breaker is the second of the Two Witnesses.

Micah 2:12-13

12 “I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.”

13 “The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.”

The Lord will use The Little Book to purge all Christian churches. He will purge the Philadelphia Church first. The Philadelphia Church will then prophesy to the Laodicean Church and to the churches of the world.

The Breaker will be the person who leads the purged Christians out of these churches.

The remnant Christians of the Philadelphia Church and the Christians who are purged from the Laodicean Church and the Christian churches of the world will make up the end time Philadelphia Church.

These Christians will be protected from the hour of temptation.

Revelation 3:10: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

Revelation 12:14: “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”
