Revelation 11:1-2
1 “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.”
2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”
What has Jesus Christ been doing all these years? He has been building a spiritual temple or church.
The church is now built. God’s spiritual temple is complete. The church is ready for the return of Jesus Christ.
Measure the temple (church), the altar (leader), and those who worship therein as a whole and individually.
The outer court is the Laodicean Church. It is given unto the Gentiles (turned over to Satan). Jesus will spew this lukewarm church out of His mouth into the tribulation.
The church or spiritual temple is complete, ready to go to a place of safety for three- and one-half years.
Revelation 12:14: “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”
The two witnesses start their three- and one-half years’ work preparing the way for the return of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 11:3: “And I will give power unto my two witnesses and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”
